The Classic Editor is a simple, no-frills tool for writing and publishing blog posts in WordPress. It provides a familiar, text-based editing experience similar to what you’d find in traditional word processors. Here’s how you can create a blog post using the Classic Editor:

1. Navigate to the Posts Section

Log in to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Posts → Add New. This will open the Classic Editor interface, which includes a title field and the content editor.

2. Add Your Post Title

At the top of the editor, you’ll see a field for your Post Title. Add a clear and concise title for your post, as this will be visible in search engines and social media.

3. Write Your Content

In the main content box, you can start writing your post. The editor includes basic formatting options like bold, italics, bullet points, and alignment. You can also add links, images, and blockquotes:

• To add an image, click the “Add Media” button and upload your file.
• To create links, highlight the text and click the link icon in the toolbar.

4. Add Categories and Tags

On the right-hand side, you’ll see options to assign categories and tags to your post. These help readers and search engines understand the topics covered in your blog post.

5. Set a Featured Image

Scroll down to the Featured Image box and choose an image that represents the post. This image will often be displayed on the blog archive page and social media shares.

6. Publish Your Post

Once you’re satisfied with the content, click the Publish button. You can also save it as a draft if you’re not ready to publish, or schedule the post for a later date.
